Steve is a lifelong Minnesotan, growing up in North St. Paul. He lives with his husband and their dogs Stella Grace and Reggie

Steve has lived or worked in Woodbury for 20+ years, and has found it to be a great place to live and enjoy all that the community has to offer.
Steve worked for SuperAmerica for over 25 years in many roles including Director of Marketing, Director of Planning & Strategy and overseeing Operations and Strategy. He left in February of 2021 for other opportunities, and now owns his own company, Retail Management Inc., as a contract operator and consultant for retail and hospitality locations across the country.
Steve's experience on the council expands to other roles, serving on the city's Housing & Redevelopment Authority (HRA) and the Economic Development Authority (EDA). He also serves on the Met-Council's Land Use Advisory Committee as well as the Metro-Cities Board of Directors in his capacity as an elected representative for the community. Previously he has served on the Woodbury Planning Commission, as Co-Chair of Community & Business Advisory Council (CBAC) for Metro Transit's Gold Line as well as on the Board of his neighborhoods HOA.
He enjoys volunteering as well, and serves as the Chair of the Majority in the Middle, a 501c3 committed to lowering the temperature of politics and working together to serve Minnesotans regardless of party. Also on the board of the Woodbury K9 Foundation, and Board member for United Heroes League a 501c3 who's mission is helping military families stay healthy and active. (www.unitedheroesleague.org) as well as volunteering with many other groups such as Feed My Starving Children, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Children's Miracle Network & Gillette Specialty Healthcare, and Special Olympics of Minnesota.
Steve also spends his springs/summers and fall serving as a USA/ASA umpire, for over 10 years, I find that being an umpire teaches me about seeing things from different viewpoints & respecting others opinions,
